We made it!

Our hotel is in the middle of Colorado Springs' sprawl. "But it is sprawl with a view of the mountains," Adam says.

And the view isn't half bad, if you crane your neck and look out the window to your right. You can see the mountains.

We spend the afternoon unpacking, planning our itineraries and buying groceries to stock up our little kitchen. After a dinner in our room (At Miranda's insistence. She is more excited about the kitchen than anything else!), we head to old Colorado City, a quaint part of town featuring preserved historic buildings, cool restaurants, boutiques and clubs. We all treat ourselves to some ice cream after a long day of driving—yes, even Adam and me. Back to Paleo next week!
